Synopsis

Since the pandemic, life has sprung back to its full bloom. However, with this we may have lost our sense of connection and understanding of ourselves and the world around us. We must stop and reflect, otherwise we may lose our relationship with the world and with those who are close to us.

Our world has changed forever since Covid-19. It has touched all corners of the globe and every manner of society. The measures that kept us apart for almost two years helped slow the deadly wave, but through strength and determination, we stayed connected.

During the countless lockdowns, we could only look through the window, feel alone as we were told to stay indoors and live in fear as the deadly disease threatened our way of life. But despite this, there was a light in the dark, a ray of hope, that put us back on the rails and kept us moving to a brighter future.

This collection of poems speaks of a dark and difficult time, how lockdown, with its complications and restrictions, can bind the lives of a nation. Through these words you might just unlock the door to the world around you and be able to reflect and connect to those who helped keep us united at a time when things felt so dark.
